Sandwell College

At Sandwell College we provide individualised support to many students with additional needs on both mainstream courses and within the foundation learning department. Whether you require personal care, one to one support in class or mentoring support we have experienced staff who will help you to enjoy your time at college and fulfil your potential.

There are several ways we identify learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This may be through liaison with you during the application process or enrolment or via your local authority for those learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan. There are also opportunities for learners to self-refer for additional support at any point during their course.

For students with Education Health and Care Plans we are committed to meeting the SEND agenda and work closely with Local Authorities to ensure the needs of our students are met. We have a range of support available for young people and for new applicants we can arrange individual appointments to view the college and subject area outside of open days, informal chats with both support and vocational departments to ensure a smooth and positive transition into college.
