Teaching your own children in the home environment can be a challenge at the best of times, without the additional implications faced when supporting a child with sensory needs. However, if we are able to begin to understand what some of these behaviours may look like, and how we can best address them, then the home learning environment should hopefully become much more successful: not only for the teacher, but also the learner.
This area of the website will hopefully highlight some of the most common behaviours associated with sensory processing needs and also provide strategies and resources to manage these successfully.
See behaviour, think sensory!
Begin by downloading our Guide to supporting children with sensory needs from the Downloads Section to the right of this page. Also here you will find a range of sensory activities to try with your child.
