RE-ENTRY

At ReEntry we deliver a part time alternative curriculum for young people aged between 4 and 16 years who for whatever reason struggle to access mainstream education. We understand that everyone is on a personal learning journey and we deliver an individual service, depending on specific needs, based around the core National Curriculum.

Our delivery is split into four clear stages:

Triage

We work closely with the young people to understand what is stopping them from learning. We work with other agencies to make sure they get the support that they need to overcome these barriers.

Behaviour

We support young people to understand and change behaviour. We work with young people individually and in very small groups to build their confidence in managing everyday situations positively. We give young people the desire to learn; we then give them the tools to achieve this.

Education

When the young person is ready, we accelerate their learning to make sure they are able to access an age appropriate curriculum before they return to mainstream education.

Reintegration

We work with other providers to return young people back into mainstream or specialist education.

Referral Details

Referrals come from the Local Authority and schools

As soon as we receive a referral we begin the process of gathering the information that we need to put a curriculum together for the young person. An interview between the young person, the parents/carers and the referrer will be arranged within five working days and a timetable and start date will be agreed. The young person will be invited to attend an induction period and a review will be held after two weeks.
