Outreach staff based at Penn Hall School are responsible for the cleaning and all items are reviewed by Outreach staff and sterilised on return.

Disposal

Once equipment is no longer suitable or required by the service it will be disposed of.

Who can make referrals for assessment for equiment?

School staff can make referrals for assessment.

How is need Assessed?

Need is assessed through occupational therapy or outreach observation.

How long will the assessment take and when will be the equipment be provided?

An assessment will take approximately 30 minutes, within school. If the assessment demonstrates that the child or young person would benefit from the provision of the equipment, it will be provided within two weeks of the assessment taking place.

How is equipment provided?

Equipment will be delived to school by Outreach staff and some demonstration/training will be provided to the child or young person on its use.
