Building Better Opportunities - employment

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund through the European Social Fund through the Building Better Opportunities programme the Beacon Centre is able to support visually impaired people over the age of 25 back into work, develop skills and build confidence. 

We are able to support you in a number of ways:

  • Career guidance and advice
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Inproving social skills via targeted activities such as IT training, cookery courses, bespoke employability courses and financial workshops.
  • Interview techniques
  • Job coaching
  • Job search session

We can improve your readiness for work and progression into education, employment or self-employment in a relaxed, friendly environment.
