Champion of Change Project (Terrence Higgins Trust)

The Terrence Higgins Trust Wolverhampton has recently set up the Champions for Change programme.

The aim of the project is to provide HIV and sexual health training to BME communities across Wolverhampton. In an attempt challenge HIV related stigma and discrimination.

The project works in partnership and engages leaders of the community and younger people to encourage change by training and empowering individuals in order to pass on the skills and knowledge with regard to HIV awareness in order to tackle stigma and discrimination within the community.

The project is currently recruiting 'champions' from the BME community. Various sessions take place during the week.
