You might call it buddying, domiciliary care or getting a personal assistant. We call it offering the kind of support that keeps families together and allows children and young adults with disabilities or complex needs to live life as independently as possible.
Progress Hub Support provides consistent and flexible staff who can work in any setting and at any time to suit your needs. This could be a buddy to go along with you to a concert, a new group or a weekend away. It could mean helping you to go swimming or use public transport. Or, for parents or families, it could just mean giving you the time and space to visit a friend, do the weekly shopping, have an evening out, or even just do nothing at all.
Our teams are there to respond in a crisis and provide planned and emergency support, with the assurance that they are working on improving skills and building resilience at all times. Our support service can take place at any location including your own home.
This service is for children and young people with an additional need or disability and can be funded by the local authority, a direct payment or privately. The service is available both within Wolverhampton and can be purchased privately outside of Wolverhampton.
