Jericho House - Wolverhampton

The Jericho House in Wolverhampton was opened in 1985 to provide a hostel for single homeless women. It is part of the Jericho Society.

We have accommodation and support for 20 single women and/or women with a dependant child. The Haven was providing a service for women and their children but single females were not being catered for, however, due to such a high demand for refuge facilities and a massive increase in domestic violence we now give shelter to women and their dependent children.

Since opening we have given guidance, support and safe accommodation to around 3000 service users.

Also to provide practical and emotional support to any women and any dependent children who access Jericho by providing

  • Information on options available.
  • Information on the potential notification of those options.
  • Practical and emotional support to implement whatever choice or choices they make.
  • Access to other services and support in achieving their goals.
