The Mental Health Duty Team will take referrals for assessments and signpost any concerns to the relevant departments.
What we do:-
We work in partnership with people who use our services, carers, NHS, third and independent sector organisations to ensure that a range of services are provided to help a recovery process for people with mental health needs.
The Mental Health Social Work Team is made up of both social workers and social care workers. They are a single point of access for all referrals to Mental Health Social Care services. After acceptance of a referral a social worker will be allocated to conduct a Care Act Assessment of individual's needs who meet the Care Act eligibility criteria.

Protecting Vulnerable Adults
People with mental health issues may be unable to take care of themselves, or protect themselves from harm, abuse or from being exploited. The work that we do is helped by two important pieces of legislation; the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
