The Blue Badge scheme provides a range of parking concessions for disabled people who have difficulty using public transport.
Disabled persons displaying a Blue Badge may park free of charge and without time limit at pay and display on-street parking locations unless otherwise stated by signage.
You can apply to the council for a new Blue Badge if you:
- are a resident in Wolverhampton, and over two years old, or;
- are an organisation which is concerned with the care of disabled people and need to transport those people in your care
- meet one of the eligibility criteria – please see below for more information
This includes people who have previously had a Blue Badge, or whose Blue Badge is about to expire.

Once you have completed your application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to submit your evidence. If you cannot do this online, please hand in documentation at the Civic Centre or your local library.

Your application may take up to 12 weeks to be considered. During this time, you may be subject to further assessment to determine your eligibility. If your application is successful, a payment of £10 is required.
