Wolverhampton Mountaineering Club

Wolverhampton Mountaineering Club is based in Wolverhampton, but our members live all around the West Midlands. We were set up in 1951 and are affiliated by the British Mountaineering Council (BMC). Our club currently has around 100 members who have a keen interest in all things mountaineering so if climbing’s your thing then come find us.

What do we do?

Members of the club participate in all of the usual mountaineering based sports, such as:

  • Climbing
  • Walking & Scrambling
  • Mountaineering
  • Ice climbing
  • Skiing
  • Mountain biking
  • Road cycling
  • Caving

There are a number of benefits of joining our club, full details are available on our website. We do meet socially weekly and have formal meets on a regular basis throughout the year all over England and Wales.

The Club meets every Tuesday at the Great Western Pub on Sun Street at 21.30pm. This is where we get to know new and prospective members, so if you would like to join please feel free to head down. We also meet at Wolf Mountain on the last Tuesday of each month at 19.30pm.
