Paediatric Audiology

We provide a wide range of family-friendly audiology services for babies, children and young people.

The Children’s Hearing Team is comprised of Paediatric Audiologists who are scientifically and technically trained professionals in hearing and balance problems, in addition to our dedicated admin team.

  • The service operates from the GEM Centre, Neachells Lane.

Our work mainly involves hearing, balance and tinnitus assessment and advice, together with specialised hearing aid fitting and evaluation using advanced digital technology.

Our multi-disciplinary approach enables us to work closely with Ear Nose and Throat, Speech and Language, Sensory Inclusion (Educational Audiologist and Teachers of the Deaf), Paediatricians and Social Services teams.

Hearing Aids

  • Faulty Hearing Aids can be brought in at any time during The Gem Centre’s opening hours.
  • If we are unable to attend to the problem right away we will ask you to leave the Hearing Aid for repair and will attend to it within one working day.
  • Families are advised to contact us if possible before bringing the Hearing Aids for repair.

For more details please contact the service.
