Beatsabar Music Project is now offering 1-hour music workshops working with adults with a wide range of intellectual or physical disability. The experienced music facilitators have many techniques to achieve positive results for young people in Wolverhampton.
The service, which is a Community Interest Company, is based in the legendary Sam Sharpe studios at the Newhampton Arts Centre.
The aim of these workshops is to simply get service users to be able to play and record music either alone or in a group. At Beatsabar, they can gain pleasure and stimulation from this. The workshops are fun, motivating and extremely varied, providing something for everyone.
Beatsabar must have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 in each workshop to operate. The price per session is £4.50 or £16 for 4 weeks
After 4 weeks the participants will receive a CD of the songs they have recorded.
Other sessions and activities can be catered for in our sound proof studios. Please refer to our service flyer shown under the ‘downloads' section of this page.
