The Crafty Gardener is a Community Interest Company which provides day activities, health and employment related support through horticultural, crafts and retail activities.
The majority of horticulture and craft activities take place at our allotment site at Boundary Way in Wolverhampton. This site provides a community setting with outside growing space and access to the sites buildings to provide undercover room for activities in poor weather.
We make and then sell some of our products at craft and plant fairs and other organised events. This gives participants opportunities to be involved in a range of activities, to experience new places and to meet new people. Our retail activities also enable the Crafty Gardener to keep day service charges to a minimum.
A typical day session would be from 10am to 3pm, days and times can be flexible to suit the people involved.
People referred to the Crafty Gardener day service usually have a learning disability and/or mental health needs and live in Wolverhampton or South Staffordshire. The Crafty Gardener is also happy to look at other individual or group arrangements, please contact us to discuss these options or for specific information about our allotment site.
For further information about the service please get in touch with us.
The Crafty Gardener are very grateful for the support of the Leonard Cheshire Charity.
