Community Support is a Confidential Advice and Information Service that aims to enable residents that are over the age of 18 to prevent isolation and promote independence and well-being.
The Community Support Workers based within this team offer a range of Information and advice individually tailored for your needs and put you in touch with appropriate organisations and sources of support.
The Community support Service has set up Talking Points throughout Wolverhampton where a meaningful conversation can be had about accessing services/groups in your local community to reduce isolation through community connecting and help maintain your Independence through preventative Services.
Talking Points give you the opportunity to have face to face chat with a Community Support worker in your local community. The Community Support Worker would support you to help you to help yourself, find activities and organisations in your community whilst highlighting your strengths and enhancing you're well-being
Tea and Chat
Is a new initiative to get people talking, make new friends, highlight what missing in your community over a cuppa. There will be information and guidance on services and community groups available to you to improve Well-being and strengthen your community connections. See information below for dates and venues.
Wolverhampton Library Service and Community Support also offer a Blue Badge Check & Send Service. A Community Support Worker will ensure that the form has been completed correctly and answer any questions about the process that you might have. These sessions are offered at Central Library, Warstones Library, Bilston Library, and Wednesfield Library.
