Live-in care

Our live-in care service is most suited to those who need someone to be with them during the day and night, whilst maintaining a high level of independence within the comfort of their own homes. Live in care can be offered as a respite or short-term care solution. Our flexible, experienced and fully trained staff will live with the person being cared for in their own home, allowing them to continue their routines and lifestyle. This can reduce disruption and anxiety, often shortening recovery times due to the level of support offered. There are many scenarios where live in care is the perfect solution, this can include:

  • A well-deserved break for the main carer
  • Emergency cover
  • Prevention of unnecessary nursing home admission
  • Time spent recovering from an illness in your own home following an operation
  • Accompaniment on holiday

What is different with our live in carers? Our carers listen and really try to understand what’s important to you. Our carers have a unique approach to day to day challenges and our extensive training means they are well placed to support you regardless of the condition. Most importantly our Carers know that communication, encouragement, understanding, reassurance and patience, helps you to take full and active control of your life.

Respite care / Holiday care

Care giving can be stressful and burnout can occur. When the normal carer needs to be away for holiday or for other reasons, Secure Healthcare Solutions is ready to step-in and maintain the same care the client is used to.

Our palliative care service can be provided at all stages of illness, including pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The main objective for our service is to achieve the best quality of life for those suffering from a progressive illness, as well as their families.

Ventilator Nursing Care

We provide non- invasive ventilator nursing-led care and support in the home for those individuals who experience condition-related breathing difficulties. We can help ventilated customers requiring both BIPAP and CPAP ventilation.

Continence Care

We cover all aspects of continence care – from the initial assessment to determine the bladder or bowel care needs of you or your loved one, to delivering the continence support and training you or they require. We ensure we follow the agenda for personalisation and no two people are going to have exactly the same needs. We can provide support with a range of continence techniques, including bladder retraining, incontinence aids, management of indwelling urethral catheters, supra-pubic catheters, urostomys and mitrofanoff systems, frequency toileting programmes, and pelvic floor exercises. We can also help manage medication regimes, monitoring of treatment programmes, and management of urinary tract infections.

Gastrostomy Care

Our Registered Nurse team provide gastrostomy care and PEG support too. Regimes can be continuous or bolus of all nutritional intake. Our support can be developed to support the reintroduction of oral nutrition and fluid intake support.

Emergency Home Care

Sometimes events happen so fast that families are left looking for emergency care for an elderly relative or younger person and there is no time for the usual home visits and assessment that usually precede the start of care.

Secure Healthcare can help by providing emergency care for people who need care fast. We call this a crisis situation.

Each situation is different, but some common scenarios when we can provide immediate support include:

  • Rapid Response for an unplanned discharge from Hospital.
  • Situations requiring emergency home care such as falls and accidents
  • Emergency support where another provider has let a family down.
  • Urgent Pallative care so a loved one can return home and have comfort and dignity of dying at home.
