Boomerang Community Project

Boomerang is a not-for-profit community shop selling high quality, affordable used and un-used goods and clothing. We are based in the East Park Ward of Wolverhampton and were set up by the “East Park Management Group” (EPMG) to support and enable members within the East Park Community.

The project incorporates ways in which to:

  • Provide people with the opportunity to purchase decent recycled (sometimes new/unused) essential items at an affordable price.
  • Become self-sufficient and independent. We want the project to continue in it’s own right with no more holding our hands out for money that just isn’t there.
  • Provide a means for the community of East Park to generate it’s own separate little pot of funds for smaller projects or support, and for the Community to decide how it is spent.
  • Provide work placements/training for the unemployed and those wishing to move into voluntary work.
  • Go some way toward re-igniting the spirit of community that for many has been lost.
