Does your son or daughter have support from physiotherapy or speech and language therapy?

Does your son or daughter have support from physiotherapy or speech and language therapy? Or Have they had support in the past?

We need your help!

Changing Our Lives is looking for young people and families to work with to find out how physiotherapy and speech and language therapy improves the lives of young people with the label of special educational needs and/ or disabilities (SEND)

For young people with the label of SEND who need support from physiotherapy or speech and language therapy, getting the right help that works for them and means they can get on with their lives is crucial. Young people are already going through lots of changes so it is essential that any therapeutic support is not just clinically effective but also person centred, relevant to their life and focussed on what is important to the young person.

Health services in Wolverhampton have asked Changing Our Lives to find out about young people’s experiences (and their families’) of physiotherapy support and speech and language support, and what impact it has had on their quality of life.

If your son or daughter has had – or is having - support from physiotherapy and/ or speech and language therapy, and you are willing to share your experiences, please get in touch. We will arrange to give you a call to talk through your experiences – it should take about an hour.

The findings from this work will help to make sure that physiotherapy and speech and language therapy support is as good as it can be in the future.
