Public Health England has recently launched the ‘One You’ campaign which is aimed at 40-60 year olds to improve their health.
The campaigns principle aim is to encourage people to assess their current health status by taking part in an online health quiz. One You aims to help adults combat future disease by encouraging them to make small changes to their lifestyle today.
Modern life makes it hard to be healthy. Without knowing it, by the time we reach our 40s and 50s many of us will have dramatically increased our chances of becoming ill later in life. Whether we are eating the wrong things, drinking more alcohol than we should, continuing to smoke, or just not being active enough, all of these things add up. They increase the risk of you developing conditions such as type 2 diabetes, cancer and heart disease.
Our busy lives often mean that our own health is at the bottom of our list of priorities. One You is here to remind you that your health matters. To take part in the quiz please click on the following link: How Are You
The quiz provides personalised recommendations based on your results and directs you to tools and advice to help you take action where it's most needed. You will be given the opportunity to be referred to the local Healthy Lifestyle Services Team.
