Childcare Services : Childcare Sufficiency Assessment

City of Wolverhampton Council

Since April 1, 2008, local authorities have had a duty to secure sufficient childcare to enable parents to work, or undertake education and training leading to work.

To fulfil this duty, Wolverhampton City Council must ensure that the childcare available meets the needs of parents, is of high-quality, accessible and affordable. This assessment has to be completed every 3 years with a refresh every 12 months.

Please refer to the Child Sufficiency Assessment Report in the Downloads section of this page for further information.

Any queries about the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment can be sent to early.years@wolverhampton.gov.uk
