Power of Words project (POW)

The POW project video is a collaboration from Voice4Parents and Wolverhampton Outreach Service. The aim of the project is to inspire positive change in the language used by professionals when speaking about children and young people with SEND.

A number of parent carers and young people volunteered to share their experiences on camera. Nothing has greater impact than hearing first hand experiences and the impact this has long term.

You will find more information via the following link The POW Project.

The Voice4Parents Wolves website includes further examples of words spoken during professional conversations with parent carers.
