Drug & Alcohol Support

There are a large range of both legal and illegal substances that can cause you harm in one way or another.

Some are physically addictive, some are psychologically addictive, but all are dangerous. 'Substance misuse' includes the use of illegal drugs but also the misuse of:

  • Alcohol
  • Prescription (or over-the counter) medicines
  • Volatile substances (including glues, gases and aerosols)
  • New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) ‘formerly known as legal highs'

All these substances can have a major impact on the physical and mental health of people using them, affecting their ability to be well and impacting upon their relationships with friends, family and the wider community.

We want to ensure everyone in Wolverhampton has the capacity to make positive choices to improve their own wellbeing, as well as providing recovery orientated support services locally.
