Childminders
Childminders must complete training, including Child Protection and Paediatric First Aid training, before registering with Ofsted. All Childminders and any other adult living at the address will be DBS check.
Childminders care for children from birth upwards in their own home. They offer flexible opening hours, with some offering evening and weekend care. Childminders may offer meals and snacks as well as school drop offs and pick-ups.
Childminders must meet the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (https://www.gov.uk/early-years-foundation-stage ), and are inspected by Ofsted on a regular basis.
