We’re not a watchdog or a regulator – our job is to resolve complaints - so we can put consumers back into the position they were in before the issue occurred. We also work to help businesses understand their customers, so they can serve them better and resolve problems faster.
There are different ombudsmen for different industries. You can use the Ombudsman Association to find the right ombudsman for your complaint. The services provided by ombudsmen are free of charge.
You can also use Ombudsman Services to complain about:
- communications (eg phones and internet)
- energy (eg gas and electricity)
- property (eg estate agents and surveyors)
- copyright licensing
