Wolverhampton Safeguarding Children Board and the Wolverhampton Safeguarding Adults Board are an inter-agency forum for:
-
Co-ordinating the work done by the various agencies to safeguard adults and children and promote their welfare;
-
Ensuring that this work is carried out effectively.
Although WSCB and WSAB have a role, which includes coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of work done by member agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults, children and young people, it is not accountable for the operational work. This remains with the individual organisations and services. WSCB and WSAB does not have the power to direct other organisations.
