Catch 22 believes that every young person deserves the chance to get on in life. WVRT is a programme, funded by West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner designed to address the harm caused by gang crime.
We work with individuals, families, schools and communities to support them to develop their capacity to address this issue. WVRT has a central research and policy team, putting the research findings into practice in Wolverhampton through the delivery of end-to-end services. Our work is related to the issue of Guns and Gang involvement and begins at early intervention, delivers targeted activities and on to exit programmes.
The aim of the project is to engage with a range of young people affected by gangs, from victims to affiliated members, and developed gang-orientated projects that have successfully supported and empowered young people to either remove themselves from negative influences or make positive choice.
