Penn Hospital

Penn Hospital has an inpatient ward where 24-hour care and support is given to older people with mental health needs such as dementia, depression, and anxiety.

Please note:  Penn Hospital does not operate an Accident & Emergency Ward.

Our service helps people return to their homes. If someone is unable to return home, we help find appropriate accommodation in the community, according to someone’s mental and physical health needs.

During someone’s stay on our wards we make sure, as far as is possible, that they maintain some independence by doing day-to-day things such as washing and dressing themselves. Those unable to do so will be assisted by nursing staff.
