Old Tree Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit Community Interest Company supported solely by members and private contributions. Dedicated site for adults and families with complex needs who use the site for employment training and life skills with a fully provisioned service for complex needs adults, Children and service users with mild to severe autism & mental health conditions.
New for 2022 is our ex-prison service for young adults to gain access to skills for life services to enable them to gain valuable skills for employment such as IT to landscaping to animal care with a wraparound service of professional organisations to keep them going onto a fulfilled and supported life as part of the community.
Our Wildlife Sanctuary mission is providing loving care, life management and enrichment to exotic and wild animals in need of a home in turn, providing educational opportunities for our complex needs young adults and adults needing additional care which increase community awareness of both our animals needs and the needs of our service users.
Old Tree "Tree Roots Hub"
The hub will offer a friendly coffee and access to the Wolverhampton City Councils Advice team through our partners and organisations who support the work of the Autism Centre and its work with special needs and under privileged in the city. These include:
- ACCI (Afro Caribbean Community Initiative)
- Wolverhampton Information and Support Service
- Sensory Park Autism Centres (Animal Therapy, Sensory and Verbal Centre)
- Stafford Branch of National Autism Society (committee members)
- Mental health Wolverhampton
- Care Farming UK
