Dying Matters

Dying Matters is a coalition group of 30,000 members across England and Wales which aims to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life. It is part of the National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC).

We're here for people in the last years of life, their families, carers and friends. We offer links to local services, information and a supportive online community. There is guidance on our website and advice around letting your family know what you want at the end of life, including information about your rights and choices when it comes to the treatment you do or don't want.

For carers, friends and relatives, there is information on what happens at the end of life, advice on talking to someone about dying and help with what to do after a death and coping with a bereavement.

Whether you’re a healthcare professional or a member of the public; you have an academic interest in death or you work in an industry related to it; you’re undergoing treatment for a life-limiting condition or you have a loved one who is, this is the place to seek advice and information.
