The Good Shepherd prides itself on making help available to all who need it – no questions asked or strings attached. Although family food parcels are now on a referral basis only, it enables those who need the help to access it directly and quickly.
The Good Shepherd was established in 2003 by the Brothers of Saint John of God to address poverty, homelessness and inequality in Wolverhampton. The Brothers have been involved in supporting the community in Wolverhampton for over 40 years. Today they volunteer their time at the Good Shepherd to support our service users and assist staff in the day to day running of the centre.
Over the last 16 years we’ve reached out to thousands of individuals and families in crisis. Our vision is to end homelessness in Wolverhampton and create sustainable pathways out of homelessness and poverty. We provide support and guidance to some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in the community.
Our main client groups are rough sleepers, people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, families with support needs, people with multiple complex needs and people with no recourse to public funds.
