This service is designed to help people understand the reaction they may have to the loss they are dealing with. The Grief Cafe meets on a regular basis, at the moment every two months, as a one off 2 hour session, which looks at what grief is, how it affects people and strategies which can be used to deal with this, as well as the chance to chat with qualified counsellors. Whilst bereavement is a key part of the Grief Cafe it also looks at other types of loss as well such as: redundancy, moving jobs, home orthe breakdown in relationships.
The Grief Cafe operates in Bilston at the moment but there are plans to expand this. Venues vary but more details about this can be found on the website page, including times and dates. The Grief Cafe is free to attend.
In addition to the cafe we are also in the process of setting up workshops specifically aimed at men who wish to deal with their loss and associated grief. Again this will be a free service.
Training on grief and loss is available for organisations, however this does incur a cost as does counselling and clinical supervision. To find out more about availability, topics delivered and costs for sessions please email or telephone.
Whilst the grief cafe is based in Bilston and supports the local area there are plans to widen this provision.
Please take the time to view the 'Grief Guide' in the downloads section of this page. For more information about any of the services offered please visit our website or get in contact.
