Ramblers Association - Wolverhampton Group

If you live in and around Wolverhampton and you’re interested in walking and helping to preserve and extend the national footpath network, then there’s an organisation you should be keen to join.

The Ramblers (formerly the Rambers’ Association) is Britain’s biggest walking charity and has a local branch. The Ramblers have been working for 70 years to promote walking and improve conditions for everyone who walks in Britain and the Wolverhampton Group is one of 500+ across the country.

The Staffordshire Rambling Association combined walks programme covers the territory of Staffordshire, City of Stoke on Trent, City of Wolverhampton and the Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall.

We organise led walks on most Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, varying in distance from around 5 to 18 miles.

The starting points for the walks are usually within easy driving distance of Wolverhampton; we encourage car-sharing, and lifts can be arranged if you do not have access to a car.
