Tip Top Day Nursery

Tip Top Day Nursery part of Tip Top Childcare Limited (with another nursery setting that is located in Wednesbury and Bilston too) is a family owned day nursery providing high quality early years care and education in a safe, stimulating and homely environment. Our qualified and experienced staff work with parents to nurture happy, confident and school-ready individuals. Located ideally for parents living or working in Willenhall, Wolverhampton and Bilston, we’re open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm all year round, closing only for Christmas and Bank Holidays.

We have been open since June 2016 and have built a good relationship with the community - having many children start with us and local members of staff. Please visit our website or view our Facebook page for up to date posts and photos of our setting.

We care for children aged 3 months to 5 years old within our 3 rooms; Babies, Toddlers and Preschool. We have a large safe garden on various levels for the children to explore and expand their physical development. In April 2020, we had our garden re-surfaced providing even more fun opportunities for our children.

Our nursery is owned by sister-in-laws Lisa and Kate who both hold level 6 qualifications after attending University whilst working previously and bringing up their own families. As graduates and an Early Years Professional we believe in valuing our staff team and encouraging them all to work to their full potential, giving them opportunities to expand on their current qualifications and training and by leading by example. Tip Top Day Nursery is now managed day to day by Hannah and Jo who have been a valuable part of our team for many years.

All of our staff members have full Paediatric First Aid training every 3 years, Safeguarding / Child Protection training, Prevent and Behaviour Management training. Many of our staff team (and management) have recently completed additional CACHE level 2 qualifications including Children's Mental Health, Behaviour that challenges, Understanding Autism, Team Leading and Understanding Nutrition and Health.

We offer a family environment at our nursery with parents being treated as partners in their child's learning. We value parents input and regularly involve the parents in nursery activities e.g. parties, firefighter visits, parents evenings, Mother's day and Father's day celebrations, Graduation and Fun days. We also incorporate each families cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs and encourage parents to speak to the children about specific festivals or traditions. We also have an online learning journey system that is sent to parents regularly showing individual photos and observations and showing the journey your child is taking whist learning through play at Tip Top.

As well as this we have recently invested in a nursery app which all parents and family members can sign up to, which shows what the children have been up to, gives a daily description with photos of each rooms activities, as well as sending a daily report to parents about their child's nappy changes, how much they have eaten etc to fully keep parents in-touch with what is happening at nursery especially if they don't collect their child so don't have the face to face feedback.

We offer 15 hours government funded sessions for 3 and 4 year old's and 2 year old funding (Terrific for Twos) subject to meeting relevant criteria. We also offer the government funded 30 hours to 3 and 4 year old's (subject to meeting criteria). Our funded sessions can be either; Morning 8am - 1pm, Afternoon 1pm - 6pm for 3 sessions a week, or can be used over a full day and a half day per week totalling the 15 hours. We also offer the stretched option for parents who work and need childcare throughout the school holidays. Hot Lunch and Tea can be provided at additional rate.

(As of May 2023) Our morning sessions are 8am - 12.45 pm which includes breakfast, lunch and a mid morning snack at £35.25. Our afternoon sessions are £33.50 and include an afternoon snack and light tea from 1.15pm - 6pm. For a full day session including all of above it is £51.75 per day dropping and picking up anytime between 8am and 6pm. If you would be interested in a full time space we offer a special rate of £233 per week.
