Wolverhampton Table Football Club is a well established Subbuteo club meeting on a weekly basis every Friday evening.
We are looking for new or experienced players from Wolverhampton or the surrounding areas to take part in our league and cup competitions.
Table football (also known as Subbuteo) is football played on a table with small figures. Using a finger to flick players into position and to play the ball around the pitch, just like real football. Simple to play but difficult to master, the game can be tactically challenging just like the real thing, and requires good dexterity and hand eye coordination. The game has been compared to a cross between Football, Chess and Pool.
Your first night is FREE (normally £3 a week after that - Children under 18 are always FREE!) we will provide everything you need to play, so you don't need to buy anything to be able to try it - just come and see us. We are happy to teach new players everything they need to know from the basic skills, right through to advanced strategies - and most can learn the game rules in one evening. Men, Women, old or young, are all welcome at our club.
You can join at any time, and learn the game at your own pace. We have players of all abilities, from beginner right through to the top 100 in the world. (World Amateur Subbuteo Players Association Rankings). You could even get to represent Wolverhampton at events all over the UK!
The sport is inexpensive to take part in with a team costing as little as £10, but we will advise you on the best types to get you started. A pitch and goals are a little more expensive but under £100, but if you play at the club you won't necessarily need to buy one.
It's a great atmosphere, and a great way to make new friends, competitive but always fun, we'd love to see you at Wolverhampton Table Football Club soon!
