Support Plus

We are a Day opportunities service for Adults with disabilities who require high support needs. We support people to maintain and develop their quality of life. We provide a wide range of day opportunities whilst supporting people to access their local and wider community. 

Our aim is to enable people to be part of the local and wider community whilst enabling people to take part in activities in a safe and fulfilling environment. Our service also enables carers to have a break during the day.

Support Plus
, is based at two locations in the City: -

(A4i) Action for Independence
Albert Road

At A4i we have a large hall up to 85 people and several meeting rooms all available to hire. We also have a changing places toilet which can be used by members of the public.

Brickkiln Community Centre
Cherry Street

At Brickkiln Community Centre we have a small hall for up to 45 people and a large sensory room which is available to hire at £5 per hour, we also have a changing places toilet.

A few the activities we provide across the service are Drama, Artwork, communication skills, gardening, cooking, IT, community awareness as well as sensory awareness, relaxation and we will look to develop other activities which we feel will benefit the individual. Our specially trained staff can speak several languages and can also communicate using sign language.

Where to go

We operate our service from two locations, Cherry Street and Albert Road.
Our rooms can be hired outside of our core times and weekends.

Open Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 4.10pm
Session Information
This will be based on an individual assessment of peoples needs and outcome.

Age Ranges
16 years+ who have a learning disability and have been assessed by a social worker from the Disability Team.
