Wolverhampton Lions

Wolverhampton Lions was formed in 1973. We have an active membership of people whose prime objective is to enjoy themselves whilst helping their local community and helping those less fortunate than their-selves.

Lions are local people who give some of their time to put something back into their local community, whether it is taking part in local community events or helping to raise funds on our various charity events. Wolverhampton Lions strive to help those in need, wherever need exists.

 Our activities have included:-

  • Raising funds to help various Local Groups & Organizations
  • Provide equipment for our Local Medical Centre’s
  • Support Youth Projects and Exchange Scheme
  • Supporting the Special Olympics
  • Supporting the Lions Message in a Bottle scheme that helps all the emergency services if they have to attend your home
  • Promoting & assisting in World Sight Day & Lions Sight First Programmes
  • Collecting unwanted eye glasses so they can be recycled and given to people in the developing world to give them the gift of sight
  • Promote Diabetes Awareness
  • Recognising Local peoples individual community work with our annual Citizen of the Year Award.
