Pendeford Art Group

Pendeford Art Group is a group of adults with an interest in drawing and painting. From watercolours and acrylics to charcoal and pastels, every medium could be explored.

At the moment the group has a tutor and the first half of the session is given over to exploring a particular artistic medium, technique or looking at an artist’s catalogue or works to discover more about style and composition. This part of the session is tailored to suit the needs of the group but members can dip in and out as required. Materials are provided by the tutor but we are encouraged to use our own materials so we get used to them.

There is a break for refreshments.

The second half of the session can be made up of a tutor led or an individual’s own project but we are encouraged to put into practice what we have learned from the first half of the session during the following weeks.

The Art Group also hosts a Portrait Workshop fortnightly on a Friday afternoon. As spaces are limited, places on the workshop need to be booked in advance.
