The Wolverhampton Falls Prevention Service is a multidisciplinary team offering a clinic based assessment, exercise based treatment plan and overall advice on how to reduce the risks of falling and to cope better following a fall. Our aim is reduce the risks of falls through education and exercise. Following an initial assessment service users are encouraged to enage in either a community or home exercise programme designed to improve strengh, balance and confidence.
We provide
- a comprehensive assessment in a clinic setting
- a community group education and exercise programme (or a home exercise programme if unable to attend community classes)
Referals to the service are accepted from a GP or health practictoner by email on a completed referal form.
