Punjabi Women's Writing Group

The Punjabi Women's Writing Group was set up in 2018.

All women of South Asian heritage are welcome to join us, especially if you live in the West Midlands.

This writer's group is dedicated to Punjabi Women in Wolverhampton and is led by Kuli Kohli, who runs on the last Wednesday of the month (5:15pm - 6:45pm) at Wolverhampton Central Library on Snow Hill.

Over the last few years, we have had successful writing workshops and local performances in Wolverhampton and Ironbridge that have sparked up a lot of interest.

The layout of the workshops are very informal and relaxed. We usually start with having a talk about what we’ve seen and done over the month. We then spend time looking at poems/pictures/stories that will provide inspiration for us to write. We then spend some time writing and at the end, if people wish to share their work they can.  The group then gives constructive/positive feedback for improvement etc.
