The service is co-ordinated by a small staff team assisted by volunteers, some of whom have personal experience of cancer. We can be contacted in person, by telephone, email or post.
Our intention is to help reinforce and support the information given by doctors and other health professionals. We do this by providing access to an extensive range of practical, useful and up-to-date information. This can help to alleviate anxiety and stress, as people feel better informed about their illness.
People are welcome to drop in to the Information Centre and browse. Our Information Officer, or one of the team, will be happy to help. We will take time to find out exactly what you need to know, to make sure that you have the right information. Our information service can be used by health professionals, students and anyone interested in finding out more about cancer.
Our website provides details of the support services and activities we offer. We also post our latest newsletters on the site.
