Duke Street Bungalows is a regulated service providing long-term shared living provision for up to 16 adults across three separate bungalows.
Duke Street Bungalows is situated in the North side of the city in Wednesfield and is in close proximity to shops, leisure facilities and on a bus route that provides accessibility to the City of Wolverhampton.
The bungalows are nicely located on an established community housing estate. The buildings are adapted to meet the needs of disabled people and provide a range of specialist aids and equipment to maximise independence.
Each person has their own space but are able to benefit from socialising with other like-minded people and share communal areas.
The team provide support with the skills people may need to help them live as independently as possible and in accordance with their person-centred plan.
The underpinning aim for Duke Street Bungalows is that disabled people are supported to lead an ‘ordinary life’ and recognized as equal citizens, and not defined or limited by their disability.
The team take immense pride in their work and place people who live at Duke Street at the heart of every decision they make.
The team are committed to continually develop creative and innovative ways to support and motivate people to maximize opportunities, involvement and independence.
People can be signposted to the service if it is deemed appropriate by the Care Management Team
