Wolverhampton Friendship Centre - Over 50's

The Wolverhampton Friendship Centre was formed in 1991 as a self-help group of over 50 year old's. Most of the activities are run by members, for members. We are a caring organisation and do our best to keep in touch with members who fall sick or need help or support.

The group has a membership of about 650 who meet mainly at the Goodyear Pavilion in Stafford Road, Oxley, Wolverhampton, but also at other venues in surrounding areas. Some of our activities take place at Bradmore Community Centre and some at Fordhouses Community Centre.

We mainly provide social and recreational activities for the over 50’s who are mainly retired.  We banded together to organise a more fulfilling and caring retirement.

We organise weekly activities such as:
Art; Square dancing; Yoga; Keep Fit; Day Trips; Holidays; Ten Pin and Green Bowling; Skittles, Zumba, Pistol shooting, Camcorder Club. We also arrange lunches, walks, Bingo; Crafts groups; Board Games and other one off events.

We work hard to produce a happy, involved, sociable atmosphere at all our activities and meetings. We welcome new members and particularly those who are prepared to be involved in running the organisation.

For further information about the club please contact the Club Secretary in the first instance or the Pavilion.
