We have over 20 years experience in providing life and leisure opportunities for people with learning disabilities and physical and sensory disabilities.
Our service is registered with CQC – Care Quality Commission.
The Activities building is located within the grounds of Pear Tree Lane in Wednesfield Wolverhampton and comprises of a large activities room and a separate sensory room with heated waterbed. We are able to provide a wide range of activities incorporating a mixture of building based and community based activities to support people.
We will work with each person to enable them to experience a range of social and leisure activities that are meaningful to them as an individual. These will include both activities that the person simply enjoys participating in or observing and those that help that person to learn, develop and maintain their self-help and communication skills in order to enhance their ability to make the choices that will enable them to lead the life that they want.
Here are some of the activities we can provide :-
IT equipment and use of PC’s and Ipad’s
Attendance at college courses – various subjects
Art & Craft work
Use of the sensory garden
Use of our sensory room with waterbed
Music and movement
Aromatherapy massage and other holistic health and sensory stimulation, cultural awareness, support to join and attend social and cultural groups within the community, Cinema and theatre trips, karaoke, community awareness, clothes & toiletry shopping.
However we don’t want this list of activities to be limiting so basically if there’s an activity that someone would like to experience then we will seek to support them to do this.
