We are currently offering 'virtual' Dementia Cafes via Zoom until we are able to resume face-to-face services.
The online Dementia Cafe is a warm and friendly environment, offering support and connection for people living at home with dementia and anyone who lives with them or helps to care for them. Once you have zoom downloaded onto your device, you simple click the link in the weekly email we send and you are taken straight to the group. We meet on a Thursday from 3pm-4pm. (We can help you get started on zoom).
We have all been surprised at how well people have adapted to this format and many people have attended every week since last June.
You can access these online groups if you are already registered with us, if not then please call our support line: Dementia Connect 0333 150 3456 and ask to be referred to an online dementia cafe in your area; you can also be signed up for Dementia Support calls if you feel you need extra help.
You can then have a chat with the organiser beforehand if you wish.
We also have Singing for the Brain sessions available.
Everything is free to access.
