Pathway to reablement - employment and skills programme

Do you want help finding work or support with day to day life? 

The Beacon Centre has been supporting people with sight loss for more than 140 years. 

We can offer tailored support for those with sight loss looking for employment as well as advice and guidance for those who need to develop skills and boost confidence. 

We can also improve your independence through the use of aids, adaptions and technology and we can help you find the right role in the workplace and give you the support you need to make it work for you.

The tailored Pathway to Reablement programme will help you by offering:

  • Career advice and guidance
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Opportunities to improve social skills via targeted activities including IT training, financial workshops or job search sessions. 
  • Support to help with cooking, mobility and other personal and domestic life skills 

We offer a relaxed, friendly environment with tailored plans to support your needs.
