Founded in 1985, the British Lung Foundation (BLF) believe getting the information you need when you need it can make all the difference. We provide reliable, up-to-date and easy to understand information to help answer your questions about lung health. We’re the only UK charity looking after the nation’s lungs. With your support, we’ll make sure that one day everyone breathes clean air with healthy lungs.
We offer information and support on a number of subjects including travel and transport, oxygen, equipment, welfare benefits, as well as many issues relating to over 40 lung conditions. We have a team of specialist nurses and benefits advisers who are dedicated to answering your questions. They can give you reliable and expert advice about anything to do with lung health, whatever your condition or whatever you're worried about.
So if you are recently diagnosed with a lung condition and looking for information or are a carer looking for support or perhaps you want information on treatment and diagnosis, then the BLF is your first point of contact.
Our website is full of useful information and advice about living with your lung condition; helping you to manage your symptoms and get the most out of your life. There is also sensitive information for people with a long-term lung condition who are coming to the end of their life. The BLF can be of huge support for anyone who needs our service, including their carers, family and friends.
