Marie Curie

Our services help people living with any terminal illness, and their families, make the most of the time they have left.

If you or someone you’re close to has a terminal illness, we’re here to support you. There are a range of ways we can help you, from clear, useful information about living with a terminal illness to expert nursing care in your home.

Marie Curie Nurses give care and support to people living with any terminal illness and their families, bringing light in the darkest hours. Our nine hospices are at the heart of communities around the UK. The nurses along with our trained volunteers and advisers are here for you with practical information and support when you don’t know what to do next or just need to talk.

We can also give you or a loved one free help and support at home. Last year, we were by the side of more than 50,000 people. Our Support Line team are here to help.

Our nurses generally provide one-to-one nursing care and support overnight in your home, usually for eight or nine hours. In some areas, we also offer care for a shorter period of time or during the evening or daytime, as well as care at very short notice in a crisis. We offer free nursing care to people with all terminal illnesses across the UK, as well as support for family and friends.
