Wolverhampton Embroiderers Guild

The Embroiderers’ Guild is the UK’s leading craft organisation, a self-funding educational charity and registered museum which promotes embroidery and provides access to its resources and skills for the benefit of the whole community. The Guild promotes embroidery as being all work stitched or derived from stitch.

We are very pleased to welcome new members to our Branch. You can join with little or no experience and you will soon see that we are pleased to help and to share ideas.

The Wolverhampton Branch meetings take place at Tettenhall Wood InstituteOur Branch is long-established and its members are an enthusiastic group of embroiderers with a range of textile interests which span a wide range of techniques; some members are beginners who have never tried a particular technique; others have more experience in some areas through City and Guilds.

You may like to attend lectures at first and then perhaps take part in a workshop later. Sometimes members bring to lectures the work they did at a recent workshop. From these samples you will gain some idea of the range of ability and activity.

Please contact the Branch Chairman for further information or visit our website.
