Who are we?
Macmillan Cancer Support and The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust work together to provide a local Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Centre for Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
The service is staffed by a Manager and Assistant who are supported by volunteers, some of whom have personal experience of living with cancer.
What do we offer?
We provide information that covers all aspects of the cancer journey, including pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, treatments, living with and beyond cancer, palliative and end of life care, where you and your loved ones can feel listened to, helped, informed and supported.
Our free confidential drop in service offers emotional support, information, practical and financial advice to anyone effected by cancer, whether you are a patient, their family, friends, or carers.
Our wellbeing programme of workshops include Look Good, Feel Better sessions, Nail Specialist and Complementary Therapies.
We can also offer information in different languages, formats (such as Audio) or suitable for people with learning disabilities.
We’re here to support you.
How to get in touch?
The Centre is based at New Cross Hospital in friendly, accessible surroundings. You can drop in without an appointment and you don’t need a professional referral. All discussions are in complete confidence and we welcome anyone who needs our help.
