Wolverhampton Elder Asian and Disabled Group (WEAD)

Wolverhampton Elder Asian Group (WEAD) was set up in 2002 to cater for the needs of the local community. We provide day drop in services for Asian elderly and disabled people. Our project helps to provide:

  • Social relief
  • Reduce isolation
  • Increase independence
  • Encourage befriending opportunities
  • Benefit/support advice support
  • A luncheon club - as well as other refreshments

We encourage all forms of social interaction and our gatherings are an opportunity to meet peers, get advice and information, meet new people.  Although COVID restrctions have eased, we are limiting numbers of attendees at the social groups.

If anyone wants to attend a social group, please call us and leave a message; we will get back to you with details.

Our office base at WVSC operates on an appointment basis only; do not visit our office unless an appointment has been arranged.

Please ring on 01902 448552 to make an appointment. Leave a name and contact number on the answering machine and someone will return your call.

Please do contact us for more information.
